What folks say about Grace’s Best Cookies

Recently, we conducted some interviews with folks who enjoy Grace’s Best Cookies. These are actual excerpts from those interviews.

It looks like oatmeal – I associate oatmeal with wholesome goodness. I always like oatmeal over chocolate chips. The flavor is like mom baked them in the oven. It’s a healthy image, wholesome goodness. Oatmeal is supposed to be good for you. It’s associated with fiber in diet. I’m getting a treat that’s healthy for me. I don’t have to feel guilty.

The natural ingredients, low fat, low sugar. I don’t just like them, they’re better for me.

Tastes like a gourmet cookie. You can tell they took their time with them. It’s not a greasy or oily taste. It tastes like it’s healthy food.

My kids just like the taste. They don’t know it’s healthy. But it makes me feel like a good mom. I’m providing healthy alternatives.

I feel like I'm doing something right for myself, my family, and the environment. I read the ingredients; they're great, no preservatives, no chemicals. I feel like I'm doing the right thing, supporting a small business like this.

So good. Not many calories. Wholesome. I have respect for the company. To come out with a cookie like this, that avoids transfats and fructose and those things that save money or build profit…That tells me they care. They are wholesome minded. They take pride in making a premium cookie and are willing to forgo the cheap and easy for quality… They are independent… Just right for the kind of people who shop at Whole Foods. Self-made. Thinkers.

I like seeing “petite” too. It tells me I’m not going to be dealing with some big cookie, like Mrs. Fields...You won’t end up being stuck wolfing down a lot more cookie than you want...These are very filling. Just one or two is all I need.

Each cookie is only about 25 calories... I actually feel "virtuous" eating these. Natural. Healthy. Refreshing. Good for my body and good for my conscience too!

I liked how the cookies looked. Not a processed image. Not massed produced. I feel like it’s hand made...like grandma made it...Reminds me of cookies from a long time ago.

It’s a little treat I get for myself. I’ll buy these for myself on my birthday or at Christmas...Like a good little secret that people keep (And share with special friends).

Pleasant to share these with a friend of mine. She wasn’t familiar with them, so it’s like sharing a great discovery. I like to show her things I’ve learned... How clever these cookies are. It’s not just an oatmeal cookie — smart to get my seeds in it. I’m doing something healthy, as distinguished from a sweet treat that just satisfies. This satisfies and is healthy. It provides long-term satisfaction. It’s eating something that’s good for you.

Completely healthy. I read the first five ingredients and know these are great.

I always read the ingredients. I like what I see here. They are “basic” items. There’s nothing on that list that I don’t have in my kitchen... A person should know every ingredient that’s in the food they eat. It is empowering. And if you don’t know what something is, you don’t know whether it’s bad for you or not. I like that I’m not seeing things like “hydrogenated oil” or “natural flavoring,” which I’ve learned is a pseudonym for MSG. No fructose or any of the “ose” things (sucrose, dextrose). That’s good.

It gives you contentment, because you can enjoy it without feeling guilty...empowering kind of good. A little delicacy.

They don’t look like “diet cookies.” That’s a real cookie in there. It looks appetizing when I see it.

When I heard "sunflower seed cookie," It seemed weird at the time. I thought it would taste nasty. Anything that's good for you, with different ingredients, usually doesn't taste goodŠ I see these and figure they are probably not going to taste goodŠ If it says low-sugar, low fat, all natural, it usually doesn't taste good. I always thought that to eat healthy is not to eat tasty. I associated healthy foods with tasteless, like hospital food. So-called "snacks" from health-food stores are always awful! But then I tasted these and said, "Wow!"

I saw “sunflower.” That’s what attracted me. I’m thinking this is really clever. I like to get seeds in my diet, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, things like that. Putting them in cookies is a clever way to get more into your diet...That’s that intrigued me... Healthy benefits...in a cookie.
